Walls and street corners in Guangzhou's Nansha district are draped in cascading bougainvillea in full bloom, attracting residents and visitors in their bid to capture spring scenes as the flowering season peaks in late March.
In Dongchong town, clusters of bougainvillea spill over fences and buildings, forming what locals call "flower waterfalls". Near Yilian Art Industrial Park, dense layers of magenta blossoms cover walls, creating popular backdrops for photography enthusiasts.

The flowers hang in thick bunches, resembling flowing fabric in the breeze and adding movement and depth to ordinary urban spaces. Casual snapshots often turn into vibrant compositions filled with color and texture.
Around Qianye Industrial Park, red and white bougainvillea bloom side by side. The contrasting hues, combined with filtered sunlight, create a softer, layered aesthetic that is suitable for close-up shots.
Now at peak bloom, the bougainvillea season in Nansha is expected to last until mid-to-late April. With flowers spreading across industrial parks, village lanes and roadside walls, the district offers an accessible spring attraction for those seeking nature within the city.
