Wanqingsha town in Guangzhou's Nansha district unveiled six new policy measures to support the semiconductor and integrated circuit industry, adding fresh momentum to the district's broader push to build a stronger chip sector on March 18.
The new package, known as the "Strong Chip" Six Measures, was released at the town's spring business gathering and investment promotion event. It is designed to complement Nansha's existing district-level "Strong Chip" 10 Measures and work in tandem with Wanqingsha's earlier six measures for advanced manufacturing, forming a more layered and targeted policy support framework for businesses.

The policy targets key areas of the third-generation semiconductor industry, including industrial chain clustering, innovation and incubation, producer services, output growth, testing capacity and market expansion. Eligible companies may receive incentives of up to 500,000 yuan ($69,000).
At the event, local officials promoted Wanqingsha's industrial layout, investment opportunities and development plans for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30). Government and business representatives also stressed the town's role as an emerging growth pole in Nansha and a promising destination for manufacturers and investors.

Entrepreneurs attending the event said the town's improving business environment, cash-backed incentives and location in the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have strengthened their confidence in investing and expanding there.
Wanqingsha will continue refining pro-business services and attracting more quality projects and enterprises.
