Notification of Strengthening COVID-19 Control and Prevention Measures in Nansha district

In order to fight COVID-19 and guard people's health and safety, Nansha District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center has made a deliberate decision to strictly implement COVID-19 control and prevention measures starting from October 25, 2022:

1. Staff in the following venues and catering service providers in Nansha District should implement COVID-19 control and prevention measures such as taking PCR tests and necessary precautionary measures, scanning the venue code and checking health code and negative PCR test results produced within 48 hours:

Entertainment venues (KTV, karaoke bars, ballrooms, and game halls), all the enclosed and semi-enclosed venues including photography shops (studios), cinemas, indoor swimming pools, theatres, bars, gyms, internet bars, billiards halls, chess and poker rooms, mahjong rooms, escape game rooms, foot massage & ear cleaning centers, beauty & massage salons, bath centers, indoor attractions and libraries; Dine-in services of catering service providers (including drinks shops, snack shops and breakfast shops).

2. Special venues like venues under public security and judicial supervision, elderly care institutions and rehabilitation institutions should be put under closed-off management. Public institutions, compounds, enterprises, medical institutions, maternal and infant care institutions, religious venues and construction sites should strictly implement measures like wearing masks, taking temperature checks, scanning the venue code, as well as health code, travel code and negative PCR test result produced within 48 hours checks.

3. People working in industries with high exposure risk to COVID-19 should carry out proper personal protection and take PCR tests in their allocated time slots. This testing is universal and should cover every household and every individual.

4. Residents are suggested to refrain from traveling and cross-district traveling. The management of entry and leaving shall be strictly implemented in villages (communities), residential communities, public institutions, compounds, enterprises, and public venues, including measures such as temperature checks, no-contact delivery and express, scanning the venue code, checking the health code and negative PCR test result produced within 48 hours and urging people to wear masks correctly and not to spit and maintain good hygiene and health habits.

5. Gatherings shall be strictly restricted, such as large conferences, training, and performances, in accordance with the principle of “only essential events shall be held”. In the case of essential ones, the organizer and venue provider shall limit the number of participants and will be held accountable for any consequences caused by their failure to implement COVID-19 control and prevention measures as required.

6. We request that everyone maintains a vigilant attitude, complies with epidemic measures and takes PCR tests orderly as required by the notice of the towns (subdistricts) and villages (communities). Please continue to wear masks, wash hands frequently, keep your room ventilated, use serving chopsticks and avoid gatherings. Residents should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and get booster shots as soon as possible to protect your health. Please take the initiative to carry out self-health monitoring. If you develop symptoms such as a fever, sore throat, dry cough, fatigue, or decreased sense of smell and taste, please immediately go to the nearest fever clinic. If you receive phone calls, text messages, abnormal health codes or other alerts about the risk of COVID-19, please report to your villages (communities) as soon as possible. People with a yellow health code should cooperate with the village (community) screening and management, carry out health monitoring at home, take PCR tests as required by the messages and only go out for essential trips.

7. All people traveling from other provinces shall strictly take three PCR tests within three days after arriving in Guangzhou. For those who have a travel history in a city with local COVID-19 cases within the last 7 days, please make a health declaration through “Declaration of Arriving in Guangzhou” in “Suikang Code” WeChat mini program and report to your village (community), employer, or hotel within 12 hours of arrival, and take three PCR tests within three days, and we recommend you to take a test respectively on day 5 and day 7. During this period, you should limit your travel between your place of work and your place of residence. You should also avoid having group meals, group gatherings or visiting crowded places.

In addition, according to the press conference on COVID-19 control and prevention in Guangzhou, we recommend residents who have a travel history in Zhuhai from October 18 to report your situation to the community and implement COVID-19 control and prevention measures including carrying out health monitoring at home for three days, taking PCR tests three times within three days, taking precautionary measures and avoid gathering.

8. Entities and individuals who fail to implement COVID-19 control and prevention measures and thus result in the spread of the epidemic will be held legally responsible.

The above measures will be taken effect from the issue date of this notification and adjusted in due course according to changes in the COVID-19 control and prevention situation. Thanks for your understanding, support and cooperation!
