Currently, COVID-19 has rapidly spread to 15 provinces and 35 cities, leading to immediate action of prevention and control. To protect the health of its citizens and consolidate the hard-won achievements of COVID-19 prevention and control in Guangzhou, the Guangzhou center for disease control and prevention now solemnly reminds all citizens of the following.
I. Do not leave Guangdong province unless absolutely necessary.
II. If you returned to Guangzhou in the past 14 days, please take a nucleic acid test as soon as possible. It is recommended not to participate in gathering activities and avoid taking public transportation, especially until you receive negative test results.
III. If you have symptoms such as a fever, dry cough, fatigue, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia or diarrhea, please wear a mask at all times and seek medical treatment immediately, and avoid public transportation at all costs. If you have stayed outside Guangdong in the past 14 days, please tell your doctor about your travel history and cooperate with epidemiological investigations.
People who have entered Guangdong in the past 14 days must undergo a 14-day quarantine.
According to the Guangdong CDC, people coming/returning to Guangdong who were engaged in the following activities should immediately report to their local communityies or villages and undergo 14-day quarantine in designated venues.
I. People from high-risk areas: 14-day quarantine in designated venues.
People must take two nucleic acid tests in three days in 24-hour intervals plus 14 days of health monitoring at home.
II. People from medium-risk areas with local transmission: 14-day home quarantine.
People must one nucleic acid test plus 14-days of health monitoring.
III. People from the counties (districts) labeled as high-risk areas: seven-day home quarantine plus seven-day health monitoring, and must take nucleic acid tests on the first, third, seventh, and 14th day after entering Guangdong.
As of 11 am on Aug 3, there were four high-risk areas in Jiangsu, Yunnan, Henan, and 121 medium-risk areas in Liaoning, Jiangsu, Fujian, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Henan, Hainan, Shanghai, and Shandong.
