A total of 52 black-faced spoonbills were spotted in Nansha Wetland Park on Dec 5, breaking a new record.

Autumn and winter are the best seasons for bird watching as many migratory birds fly to wetlands in Guangdong's coastal areas during these two seasons.

Earlier this year, 25 black-faced spoonbills were spotted in Nansha on Jan 8.

Experts said that the splendid ecological environment in Guangdong, especially in Nansha, has provided an excellent habitat for birds.
